The Consulate of Mexico in Detroit in partnership with Vistas Nuevas Head Start a division of Matrix Human Services invite you to commemorate The 3rd Annual “Celebrating Children and Literacy” (Día de los Niños – Día de los Libros). At this event we celebrate children; encouraging traditional and cultural activities, children also learn about their heritage, the importance of education and the spirit of community.

Please join us as we celebrate children, literature and community in honor of Mexico’s “Children’s Day” (Día del Niño). The event will be held Saturday – April 25, 2009 at Clark Park in Southwest Detroit from 10: 00 a.m to 3:00 p. m. We will need volunteers to help set up and clean up, there will be different shifts to sign up for but we need volunteers as early as 7 a.m. and to stay as late as 6 p.m.
